My name is Terri Nelson and I am the owner and cake decorator of Sweet  Tee Cakes.  I have over 18 years of experience with cake decorating. I have been making custom cakes since 2008.

I started working with cakes in 1997 at Giant Food.  I was a bake-off assistant. I had never decorated cakes before working there.  At Giant Food I learned the basics of decorating and icing a cake.  I was self-taught. 

I started watching cake shows like Food Network Challange, Ace of Cakes, and Cake Boss (my favorite).  After watching them I learned how to do a lot of creative and cool things with cake. 

I started doing specialty cakes for family and friends.  Then my cousin started taking Wilton classes and I started to help her with cakes. Eventually, I realized it was something I enjoyed doing, and even more, I enjoyed the reaction people gave me when they received a cake I created just for them. 

I started selling my homemade cakes in 2008 and started taking more risks for the designs.  I perfected my craft and business took off from there. 

I am currently selling all kinds of cakes and desserts weekly.  I recently received my degree in Baking and Pastry Arts from Stratford University in June 2016

My objective is to make your cake your way.  It is my goal to produce a quality and unique product for your event.
